Terms
The rules for using this website and the estimate calculator. Your actual project is governed by the written quote or agreement you sign with us — not by this page.
1. About these terms
Ambercut is a trading name of Anton Talyan, sole proprietor. These terms apply to your use of ambercut.com and the estimate calculator. By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Estimates are indicative
- Prices on this site and the range the calculator gives you are good-faith estimates for planning. They are not an offer and do not create a contract.
- A price becomes binding only in a written quote or agreement from us that you accept. If anything on the site differs from that document, the document wins.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes (such as VAT) and bank or payment fees unless the written quote says otherwise.
3. Projects
Scope, timelines, rounds of changes, payment terms, ownership of the finished film and everything else about a project are set out in the written quote or agreement for that project.
4. Material you send us
When you send us briefs, logos, product images, scripts or other material, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that our using it for your project will not infringe anyone's rights. You keep ownership of it; you allow us to use it only to prepare your estimate and deliver your project.
5. Our content
The text, design, frames, videos and other content on this site belong to Ambercut or its licensors. You may view and share links to it, but you may not copy, republish, scrape or use it to train AI models without our written permission.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not use the site to:
- submit false information or someone else's contact details without their permission;
- send spam, malware or automated requests;
- interfere with the site's operation or security, or try to access data that is not yours.
7. Other services
The site may play videos through a third-party player or link to other websites. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
8. No warranties
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the website, and our total liability for anything relating to the website itself is limited to USD 100. Liability for projects is governed by the project agreement.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing affects your mandatory rights as a consumer where you have them.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Governing law
A project is governed by the law named in its written agreement. Use of this website is governed by the law of the country in which Ambercut's contracting entity is registered. Either way, you keep any protections that the law of your own country gives you and that cannot be waived by agreement. We will always try to resolve a disagreement by talking first.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. Questions: privacy@ambercut.com.
